Burnouts and SRT vehicles go together like peanut butter and jelly. But will the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 still do burnouts as effectively as a Challenger or Charger?
The answer is a resounding yes. By default, the Jeep’s advanced AWD system sends 65 percent of its power to the rear wheels, but it’s capable of sending up to 100 percent to the rear under certain circumstances. According to Used Car Dealerships In Bellingham WA, using special software to adjust the SRT8’s ECU, the folks at Edmunds.com’s Inside Line were able to do exactly that, and generate some impressive burnouts. According to The Toledo Blade, Chrysler will soon offer its new 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with the Jeep Wrangler. Jeep Bellingham said this update may come as soon as the 2012 model year to replace the Wrangler’s current 3.8-liter V6.
In addition to getting a new engine, the report says that the Wrangler will also be ditching the current, archaic four-speed automatic transmission in favor of a five-speed unit. [click to continue…]

According to Jeep CT, legendary rocker Lenny Kravitz has signed on to promote the Jeep brand, helping the automaker reach adventurous, young buyers. Naturally, the soundtrack for his new Jeep commercial spot is the song, “Rock Star City Life” from his new album “Black and White America.”
The Jeep ad featuring Kravitz was created by Southfield-based Global Hue. The ad is a part of a national broadcast advertising campaign for the 2011 Jeep Wrangler. The ad is also the latest Chrysler ad to feature a high profile musician. [click to continue…]

As you might expect from a vehicle that already conquered the grueling Rubicon Trail, the Jeep Grand Cherokee had no difficulty tackling the Rocky Mountains—or in this case, the Rocky Mountain Automotive Press (RMAP). That association of top auto journalists and industry pros named the Grand Cherokee the 2011 SUV of the Year at the recent Denver International Auto Show.
According to Jeep Dealer CT, The new Jeep flagship bested 25 other eligible vehicles by ringing up top scores in the RMAP’s evaluations of performance, comfort, safety, fuel economy and value. What many Jeep owners may not know is that Mopar will soon release a kit that will transform your Wrangler Unlimited into a pickup truck. According to Jeep Dealership CT, pricing hasn’t been released, but Mopar promises the JK-8 kit will be available in every color offered on the Wrangler.
