The 2011 Jeep Jamboree USA season kicked off late last month, giving Jeep owners the opportunity to learn what their vehicles can really do. These events also give Jeep-lovers the chance to share their passion for off-roading with other like-minded enthusiasts.
Wranglers and any other type of Jeep model with a 4-low transfer case are welcome. Jamborees, which typically run over the course of a weekend, give participants the chance to drive through various trails under the expert supervision of local guides. Some trips provide all catered meals for the weekend, while others provide only the evening dinners.
The Jeep Jamboree was founded by Mark Smith in 1953, and just a year after Jeep became involved with the event. Since this year marks the 70th anniversary of the Jeep brand, the Jamborees have been around almost as long as the brand itself.
If you’re eager to get your Jeep out on the trail with other Jeep Connecticut owners, visit the Jeep Jamboree USA website to find a complete list of locations. There are 29 nationwide events to choose from, so chances are there’s one near you. Remember that participation in these events us limited, so reserve your spot early.
